ISO 14001
As part of its environmental sustainability policy and to demonstrate its commitment to environmental protection, Rifinizione ALAN S.p.A. has implemented an Environmental Management System in compliance with the voluntary standard UNI EN ISO 14001:2015. This project was completed in 2023 with the achievement of certification.
Rifinizione ALAN actively implements, maintains, and improves its environmental management system in alignment with its environmental policy, with a constant focus on reducing pollution, waste production, energy consumption, and resource use.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
This internationally recognized certification verifies the content of natural fibers from organic agriculture, ensures traceability throughout the entire production process, restricts the use of harmful chemicals, and adheres to environmental and social criteria at all stages of the supply chain.

GRS (Global Recycled Standard)
Promoted by Textile Exchange, a leading non-profit organization in the fashion industry, this certification confirms the content of recycled materials, maintains traceability throughout the production process, restricts the use of harmful chemicals, and meets environmental and social criteria throughout the supply chain.

RWS (Responsible Wool Standard)
Also promoted by Textile Exchange, this certification guarantees that wool comes from farms that are managed responsibly and ensures traceability throughout the production process.

Higg FSLM
The Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM) evaluates the social impact of production across key areas such as wages, working hours, workplace health and safety, and employee treatment. The assessment is based on the Converged Assessment Framework (CAF), developed by the Social & Labor Convergence Program (SLCP), with the goal of harmonizing the measurement of working conditions and social impacts throughout the supply chain.
Rifinizione ALAN has been participating in the FSLM since 2019.
Higg FEM
The Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM) is an environmental sustainability assessment tool that enables manufacturing facilities to measure and monitor their environmental performance over time in a standardized way.
The Higg FEM is designed to:
- Measure and quantify a facility’s environmental impact
- Reduce redundancy in sustainability measurement and reporting processes
- Generate business value by mitigating risks and identifying new efficiencies
- Create a shared language and methodology to communicate environmental performance clearly and transparently to stakeholders
